Man waits 3 hours for pizza delivery; neighbour finds order atop letterboxes at void deck
A man took to Instagram to complain about his experience with a pizza delivery order.
After waiting for his Domino's pizza for three hours, he found out that his order was actually delivered, albeit left in the cold atop the letterboxes at the void deck.
He started his post by claiming that the service rendered by the pizza chain had gone "from bad to worse".
"From delayed deliveries to no deliveries (nope, they didn't sound apologetic about it), this time they have outdone themselves," he wrote.
The man explained that he had waited from about 6pm to 9pm for his delivery order to arrive, and made calls to the Upper Jurong branch to no avail.
"We ended up ordering other food for dinner, and got a surprise when a neighbour called me after 9pm."
The woman caller said she saw his handphone number on a receipt placed on top of the letterboxes.
"Who would know that the pizzas had been delivered when they were left on top of the letterboxes? We threw them away as they were soggy and we demanded a refund."
A netizen wrote in jest: "The rider got mixed up with his other part-time job at the post office."
Another netizen, who works as a delivery rider, shared that if customers refuse to reveal the exact address for delivery and do not respond to calls, the rider would place the item at a safe spot - in this case, the letterboxes.
The man claimed that he had left his feedback on Domino's social media account but did not receive a response.
He added that he was thinking of heading to the outlet to speak to the staff.
The New Paper has reached out to Domino's for a response.
