A man who collapsed at Jurong Lake Gardens was quickly attended to by two women, one performing chest compressions as the other helped to pace her.
The incident occurred at 7.30pm in the Jurong Lake Gardens area near Yuan Ching Road on Aug 22, according to Shin Min Daily News.
A netizen posted a clip of the incident on Chinese social media platform Xiaohongshu, recounting how he was cycling when he saw a man collapse.
A group of passers-by rushed to his side and began resuscitating him, while another person brought an automated external defibrillator (AED) to help.
In the clip, a young woman can be seen performing CPR on the man while another woman helps count the chest compressions.
The post quickly gained traction, amassing over 11,000 likes and 600 comments as of press time.
As netizens commended the young woman for her proactiveness and quick response, the original poster noted that she had continued compressions for three minutes.
When asked if the AED had failed to work, he explained that the man did not wake up after the first electric shock: "The uncle's body moved slightly, and they proceeded to continue compressions."
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) arrived at the scene shortly after.
SCDF told Shin Min that one person was taken to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.
