Man who ran 9 pubs of vice jailed 35 months, fined almost $100k
Ang Boon Seng, 40, was today jailed 35 months for running possibly the largest vice syndicate in Singapore, as well as fined $98,000 for Ministry of Manpower charges for receiving and demanding kickbacks from foreigners.
His wife, Ylarde Anne Asuncion, a 31-year-old Singapore permanent resident from the Philippines, was jailed 10 weeks today.
She helped recruit some of the 55 women who provided sexual services.
The couple, who has six children, made more than a million dollars from his nine pubs, which were actually brothels, in two Orchard Road buildings.
