Even political instability will not get in the way of a selfie.

In fact, the martial law imposed by the Thai military early Tuesday morning has given rise to a new trend in Bangkok.

The military presence has become some sort of an attraction for both Thais and tourists as they gamely take selfies and pose with the soldiers, who appear more than willing to participate.

High levels of air pollution obscure the view of Chiang Mai from atop Wat Phra That Doi Suthep temple on March 15.
