MOH says TTSH ex-staff's comments 'incompatible' with standards expected of health-care professionals
The Ministry of Health said in a release sent out today (Jan 10) that the offensive anti-Singaporean comments made by a Filipino nurse "are incompatible with the standards of behaviour expected of hospital employees and are not representative of the values and behaviour exhibited by the rest of the public health-care community".
These comments come after Mr Ello Ed Mundsel Bello was fired by Tan Tock Seng Hospital, which was announced in a statement by the hospital yesterday.
The ministry also added that it "expects all healthcare professionals, whether local or foreign, in our public institutions to uphold the values of respect for those they serve, professionalism, integrity and social responsibility."
