More than booze & babes at four-day Beerfest Asia 2014

This article is more than 12 months old

If you are expecting to chug only beer at Beerfest Asia 2014, you are in for a big surprise.

Visitors to the four-day festival, which began at Marina Promenade on Thursday, can also indulge in premium and potent shots of whisky at the Beam Suntory Whisky & Wine Marquee.

The air-conditioned tent, one of dozens at Beerfest, features whiskies, bourbons, sakes and cocktails from all over the world.

Of course, what is the Beerfest without beers? Beerfest offers a huge variety of international brews to satisfy even the most thirsty - and discerning - drinker.

The festival is divided into the Rock Marquee, Blues Marquee and even a Comedy Lounge.

To go with the beer and live music, there was eye candy in the form of young promoters keen on handing out booze samples. This ranged from beer pulled right from the tap to freshly cracked open bottles.

Need to take a breather from the fun? Benches and seats are scattered across the festival grounds, with pub chain Harry's providing bites for the peckish.

But with such good beer all around, who needs a break?
