Mounted camera helps mountain biker catch his robbers
A mountain biker in Western Cape, South Africa was on the last leg of his mountain biking trip on his May 31 when a man armed with a gun, flagged him down and robbed him of his bicycle and his belongings.
The robber was later joined by two other accomplices.
Luckily for Mr Malcom Fox, he caught the whole act on his GoPro camera which he mounted on his helmet which caught the whole affair.
He posted the video on YouTube and wrote that he was lucky that his robbers were clueless as to what the thing sticking out of his head was.
The Citizen, a South African newspaper, reported that with the help of the footage Mr Fox uploaded, police were able to arrest two suspects.
The first suspect was arrested on Sunday at his home and a Luger firearm was confiscated.
Police told the paper that the stolen handphone was recovered but that they are still looking for the mountain bike.
GoPro, not just for extreme sports.
