Marine Parade GRC MP Tin Pei Ling will be expecting an SG50 baby. She announced her pregnancy on Facebook today (Feb 21).

Ms Tin said that she is four months into her pregnancy and decided to make the announcement after she received several enquiries from a number of people.

She also added: "As I get ready for this new phase of my life, I will continue to keep up with my parliamentary duties and constituency work for as long as I am able to do so."

The 31-year-old, who is married to Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Law Ng How Yue, said: "I am looking forward to welcoming this new member to our family. I am excited and a bit nervous, given that it is a whole new experience for me."

Ms Tin said that she has the "full support" of her fellow MPs in the Marine Parade GRC team as well as her team in MacPherson. "They have both pledged to help support and cover me if and when I need to slow down," she said.
