M'sia student stabbed five times in apartment by intruder
A university student fought off a brutal attack by an intruder at her rented apartment and survived five stab wounds, including one which punctured her lungs.
Miss Siti Irina Ridzwan, 19, was heard screaming in her room at about 5.30am on Wednesday.
Her housemates scrambled to check on her and found her bleeding profusely. The group of four rushed her to hospital.
The incident took place in Lendu, Malacca.
On the hunt
The Universiti Teknologi Mara student's condition was initially reported to be serious, but her condition has since stabilised.
Police have arrested two people, aged 18 and 20, and are looking for a man and his girlfriend, both in their 20s.
Authorities raided the man's house and seized several items, including two machetes.
State CID chief assistant commissioner Raja Sharom Raja Abdullah said the pair are high on the police wanted list.
