M'sian girl, 15, stages robbery in own home

A 15-year-old secondary student in Johor Baru, claimed that her boyfriend and two others committed robbery in her house.

But when police launched an investigation, they found that she was lying.

She had earlier lodged a police report that the robbery occurred at her house early this month, The Star reported.

In her report, she claimed that her 17-year-old boyfriend had called her and wanted to see her.

Her mother was away at work at a factory at that time.

She said the boyfriend wanted to meet her at the back lane of her house.

In the report, she said that when she opened the door, he and his two friends barged into the house.

Her boyfriend then put a knife on her neck and then on her abdomen.

Nusajaya Superintendent Noor Hashim Mohamad said when the police questioned the teen, she admitted that they had staged the robbery and she had lied to her mother.

He said the male suspect and his two friends, both 21, were detained two days after the incident.

Said Supt Noor Hashim: "We recovered two laptops, two mobile phones, jewellery and a mobile SIM card from the three."

He said the girl was arrested at her house. All four suspects will be remanded until tomorrow to assist with investigations.
