M'sian man crushed to death by his own lorry after it slides down slope
A man was crushed to death in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday in a tragic incident involving his own lorry.
Mr Kum Chok Wen was pinned between the lorry's front door and the driver's seat after the vehicle crashed into a gate.
He died on the spot at around 1.10am.
The 32-year-old had just returned home from work when the incident happened.
Sliding downhill
Mr Kum parked his lorry on a steep road not far from his house in the town of Jinjang, but forgot to apply the handbrake.
The lorry started sliding downhill soon after the father-of-four exited the vehicle.
Kuala Lumpur traffic chief Mohd Nadzri Hussain said: "We believe he attempted to get onto the lorry to stop it from moving. However, the lorry crashed into a gate while he was struggling to get inside."
"Caught between the vehicle’s door and the driver’s seat, he was crushed," he said.
