Multi-vehicle crash on Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1 causes heavy jam during morning peak

An accident involving at least two motorcycles and three cars in Ang Mo Kio caused a traffic jam during the morning peak on Oct 6.

The accident on Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1 before Upper Serangoon Road at around 8.20am resulted in traffic being backed up all the way to the CTE.

The Land Transport Authority, in a post on social media platform X, advised road users to avoid lanes two and three in the area.

Photos of the aftermath of the accident show three stationary cars in the second and third lanes, with two motorcycles on their sides between the two lanes.

Only the first lane was unobstructed.

Two ambulances were also spotted at the scene.
