Trick or treat!

Well, that is what people usually say when it comes to Halloween - hand over some candy or you might find some nasty tricks played on you.

Not this October. The New Paper is just bringing you pure treats. No tricks.

Our surprises are going to bring screams of delight, not horror.

From tomorrow, you can start collecting special coupons in The New Paper and The New Paper on Sunday that will give readers great rewards - including over $30,000 worth of event tickets to be redeemed.

That's right. We have 200 of the prized tickets to enter the Hello Kitty Run 2014 happening Nov 1.

The 15,000 slots for the event sold out within 24 hours of the pre-registration launch earlier this month, so expect these to go fast.

To get your chance to run 5km alongside the Japanese icon, collect 20 coupons including one coupon that must be in a copy of TNP bought at the participating Buzz Pod you are redeeming from.

What would October be without Halloween?

Fort Siloso on Sentosa will be completely transformed into a Spooktacular Village called Laddaland.

Each area is based on a horror movie, which includes international hits like Laddaland, Alone, Countdown, and upcoming chiller, The Swimmers.

If you have the stomach to brave the various "haunted" locations, this could make your Halloween go off with a blood-curdling scream.

RUNNING MAN FAN MEETING

Redemption period: Oct 13 to 19 (50 tickets) and Oct 20 to 26 (50 tickets)

Stars of the hit Korean game show will be at the Star Theatre on Nov 29 for Race Start Season 2 in Singapore. At the fan meeting, viewers will get to meet their favourite entertainers.

Kim Jong Kook, Haha, Song Ji Hyo, Ji Suk Jin and Lee Kwang Soo will be here for a two-hour show which will see a mix of comedy and songs.

On the night, fans can also win an opportunity to share the stage and play games with them.

Fans of Hello Kitty can get an extra treat.

From Sept 29, just buying a copy of The New Paper gives you the chance to pick up a set of limited edition Kiss Hello Kitty Candy Tins for $15.90.

These will be available at all SPH Buzz Pods except Block 49 Sims Place, Block 79 Circuit Road and Boon Lay Shopping Centre.

Styled after the legendary rock band's iconic make-up, the tins - in the Shape of Hello Kitty's face - feature the classic Kiss line-up of Starchild, Spaceman, Demon and of course, The Cat.

3 GRAND DRAW

If you take part in either redemption, you get to enter our Grand Draw. We have $8,000 worth of prizes to be won.

The prizes include three Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, 100 Hello Kitty goodie bags and four Running Man Fan Meeting VIP tickets.

To enter, simply fill out the form provided at the Buzz Pod when you go redeem your event ticket or Hello Kitty candy tin.

You can still enter the draw without taking part in the redemptions. Just collect 20 coupons including one copy of The New Paper bought at the participating Buzz Pod to take part.
