Nun dies a week after church attack
The Catholic nun who had been on a life-support machine after being she was attacked on Church grounds last week, died on Tuesday afternoon.
Sister Julianna Lim had been on a life-support machine after being struck on the head with a helmet in the Church of Visitation in Seremban. It was believed to be an attempted robbery.
Another nun who was also attacked has since been discharged from hospital. She suffered from head injuries.
The police have now classified the case as murder.
The Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Mohd Bakri Zinin said that they have set up a special task force to catch the assailant.
Meanwhile, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak offered his condolences to the family and friends of Sister Julianna.
He tweeted: "My condolences to the family and friends of Sister Julianna Lim. The senseless act that led to her passing must not go unpunished."
