Oops! First iPhone 6 buyer in Perth, Australia drops handset on pavement
Stay calm.
When you're handling something fragile, it's best to stay calm and carry on.
That's what the first Perth man to buy an iPhone 6 found out this morning.
After waiting in line overnight, Jack Cooksey was the first person through the doors of the Perth Apple Store on Hay Street when it opened.
He spoke to reporters outside the store, pulling the box open in his eagerness to show off his new gadget.
But in the excitement of the moment, the phone spilled out of the case, landing with an audible smack on the ground.
Oops!
Here's what he told PerthNow.
"I dropped it in a panic to get it open.
"Luckily it's covered in plastic, so it's fine."
Mr Cooksey said he's now looking forward to sitting down and tinkering with his new phone.
People travelled from far and wide to be in Sydney, which was the first place in the world to get the new iPhone.
