Opposition parties pay their respects

As people from different walks of life turn to social media to pay their tributes to Mr Lee Kuan Yew, we take a look at what five opposition parties are saying.

Workers' Party chief Low Thia Khiang sent a condolence letter to the Prime Minister.

He said: 

"(Mr Lee's) passing marks an end of an era in Singapore's history.
"His contributions to Singapore will be remembered for generations to come."
