M'sian teen dies in accident after sneaking out on father's motorbike
A Malaysian teenager died on Monday in a road accident after sneaking out for a ride on his father's motorcycle.
Muhammed Nazaruddin Abd Razak, 13, lost control of the bike after it was grazed by another motorcycle.
The teen, who was riding in Selangor without a helmet, eventually crashed into a signboard.
Nazaruddin suffered extensive head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other motorcyclist, a 40-year-old man, suffered a broken leg and hand.
Speeding
Police spokesman Ab Rashid Ab Wahad said investigations showed the boy had been speeding.
"We believe that it was one of the reasons why he couldn’t avoid being hit."
The teen's parents did not know that their son had gone out.
"The father only knew that his son was missing when he came home for lunch.
"He said his son had not asked for his permission to use the motorcycle," said the spokesman.
Investigations for reckless driving are ongoing.
