The equivalent of what a combined ride hailing app business in China will be worth after Uber and Didi Chuxing clinched a deal to end competing against each other. Investors in Uber China will receive a 20 per cent stake in the combined company. Didi's founder and chairman Cheng Wei will join the board of Uber. And Uber chief executive Travis Kalanick will join the board of Didi. Uber China will keep its independent branding while Didi will integrate the "managerial and technological expertise" of the two companies.
