ONE FM DJs try out special Nerf gun, a prize on offer at The New Paper Readers Carnival
The ONE FM 91.3 office became a battleground on Monday for the station's DJs Shan Wee and Cheryl Miles.
The hosts of evening drive-time show The Escape Plan got their hands on the Nerf Elite Retaliator, a toy plastic gun, and engaged in some friendly fire with each other.
A video of them battling it out was posted on ONE FM's Facebook page on Tuesday and in it, Miles emerged victorious by bringing Wee down with the foam bullets from her weapon.
Miles, 39, told The New Paper: "It was heaps of fun playing with the Nerf gun.
"It's so much better than paintball because no one gets hurt."
But Wee disagreed. "My pride was hurt!" he said jokingly.
"Cheryl watches (TV zombie series) The Walking Dead a lot so she probably pretended I was a zombie."
The Nerf Elite Retaliator is one of the amazing prizes on offer at The New Paper Readers Carnival presented by HUAWEI, which starts today till Sunday at Singapore Expo Hall 5, from 11am to 9pm.
The SPH event boasts 22 games and activities lined up for the young and young at heart.
Wee, 33, whose two sons are aged five months and two, said he would love to take the Nerf Elite Retaliator home.
"My boys will love it when they are a little older. We'll have some Nerf battles at home for sure," he said.
Miles, too, wanted to own one to teach her younger brothers a lesson.
The eldest child in her family, she said jokingly: "I can finally take revenge on them for being a pain in the butt growing up."
For those wanting some real-life Nerf action, head to The New Paper Readers Carnival, where you can find the first Nerf Blaster Maze in Singapore.

Another one of the prizes, the Airwheel Marsrover S3, also received the seal of approval from the ONE FM DJs.
The pair had a blast riding the electric scooter around their office (left), although Miles had a little accident.
She said: "I bumped into the wall twice, and left a few scuffs and marks.
"I hope no one finds out it was me."
Wee, however, had an easier time.
"I got the hang of it pretty quickly. I imagined I was a cyber organism with wheels instead of legs."
