Sexiest but she doesn't care

We can just picture Jennifer Lawrence's reaction upon finding out that she has just been named FHM magazine's Sexiest Woman In The World this year.

Classic JLaw would probably see the US actress pulling a face - an exaggerated grimace in disgust and plenty of dramatic eye-rolling, with a trademark snarky comment thrown in for good measure.

Yes, that would have been her way of saying "thank you" - or rather, "no thank you" - for the title.

In case you are wondering, FHM didn't even manage to cajole a single quote out of her regarding topping the annual list.

That's how much she cares about, or wants, it.

After all, Hollywood's current It girl has never been one to conceal her disdain for the industry's obsession with sex appeal, skinny figures and stunning looks.

As for being labelled sexy, the 23-year-old star of The Hunger Games admitted in the past that the mere thought makes her "queasy".

Compared to past FHM Sexiest winners such as Mila Kunis (2013), Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (2011), Megan Fox (2008) and Jessica Alba (2007), Lawrence does come across as a strange fit.

She is not one for revealing red-carpet gowns or provocative come-hither poses in bikinis or lingerie on magazine covers, unlike others on this year's Top 10 list, such as pop stars Rihanna and Beyonce.

And when she does make that one almost- 
naked appearance - smeared in blue body paint as shape-shifting blue-skinned mutant Mystique in the X-Men movies - the word "sexy" is not one that comes to mind.

Rather, she is powerful, witty and real, both on and off screen.

Forget traditional sexiness.

Here are five reasons why the Oscar-winning star is smokin' in our books.

1) She's comfortable in her own skin

By industry standards, Lawrence has been considered "fat" - not that it bothers her one bit.

"If anybody even tries to whisper the word 'diet', I'm like, 'You can go **** yourself," she told Harper's Bazaar last year.

She also said she eats like a "caveman", adding: "I'll be the only actress that doesn't have anorexia rumours."

2) She's got a kooky sense of humour

The Internet is full of GIFs of Lawrence's unstoppable, hysterical antics.

From her photo-bombing stunts on Taylor Swift and Sarah Jessica Parker to her goofball 
facial expressions and interview behaviour, she's a natural comedienne who is not afraid to look stupid - which makes her all that more endearing.

3) She says the craziest things

Who else would reveal she was thinking "cakewalk" while going on stage in her gigantic Christian Dior ballgown at last year's Oscars (her stylist had told her "kick, walk, kick, walk") and suggest "Peetnis" as a joint moniker for The Hunger Games' beloved couple Peeta and Katniss?

4) She makes klutzy look cool

It must be mortifying to fall - not once, but twice - at a major awards show.

But her infamous tumble two years in a row at the Academy Awards just gave us yet another reason to love Lawrence.

5) She knows how to have a good time

A source told US Weekly that Lawrence was so drunk and "wasted" at Madonna's annual Oscars after-party that she vomited at the pop queen's stairs - in front of Miley Cyrus of all people, who apparently told her to "get it together, girl".

We're sure she felt embarrassed for all of five seconds.
