Your Say: He should be allowed to go on playing here
FROM READER GEORGE LIM
I'm a football fan, and though I have not watched any S-League matches at one of the venues, I follow the tournament on TV, The New Paper and the Internet.
I always thought Mamadou Diallo was someone the Football Association of Singapore could groom to play for the national team.
But he has been denied an S Pass by the Ministry of Manpower and may no longer be able to play for Hougang United.
He has been playing in the S-League since 2008 when he was only 18 and was the winner of the Yeo's People's Choice Award last year. He was a key player for the Cheetahs and a professional on and off the field.
If he is not allowed to work or stay or play football in Singapore, I don't know who else should be.
By now, he should have been vying for a place in the national team.
I hope he will be allowed to go on playing here. Who knows, I may finally pay to watch an S-League match.
