A four-room flat at Pinnacle@Duxton has been sold for $1.5 million.

The flat owner, Ms Wu Yu Ping, and her husband purchased the unit 15 years ago for $378,000.

The Pinnacle@Duxton is a 50-storey residential development, the blocks linked with skybridges with gardens.

Ms Wu, 49, told the Shin Min Daily News, that she was ecstatic when she managed to sell the unit located on the 49th storey of Block 1C.

"I sold it through the HDB website last September," said Ms Wu.

"At that time, potential buyers came to the door one after another. In the end, I sold it to a 41-year-old local couple with a 12-year-old son."

The unit has a floor area of 94 sq m, and it overlooks Chinatown and the city area.

Ms Wu shared that the buyer had said he liked the cool breeze flowing through the flat.

The asking price was $1.52 million, but she sold it for $1.518 million after the buyer asked for a $2,000 discount for good luck.

"There were six families on this floor but the neighbours have moved out one after another," said Ms Wu.

"Now the resale price meets my expectation, so I decided to sell it. In fact, my husband asked me to sell the flat many years ago, but I kept putting it off."

Keys to the flat will be handed over to the new owners in May.
