In response to The New Paper's queries, PUB confirmed that they were alerted to a pipe leak at the junction of Changi Road and Jalan Kembangan at 4.11am on Oct 12, which had damaged a traffic light.

A service crew was dispatched, and two of the four lanes along Changi Road were closed. Repairs were completed on the same day at 8.15pm, and the affected lanes were reopened to traffic on Oct 13 at about 6am.

During the repair works, PUB deployed a water wagon and distributed water bags to nearby residents who had experienced poor water pressure.

Investigations into the cause of the pipe leak are ongoing.
