PM Lee pays tribute to two on Facebook
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong took to Facebook in the past few days to announce the passing of two people near and dear to him.
On Monday, he talked about his old principal, Mr Lim Kim Woon, whom he has fond memories of.
He wrote: "My wife and I were his students in the first two batches. Like many others, we were inspired by his energy, enthusiasm, and concern for our well-being and moral upbringing. Mr Lim left a deep impression on us all, and we stayed in touch with him for decades."
On Tuesday, he wrote about veteran journalist Ee Boon Lee, who had accompanied his father, Mr Lee Kuan Yew, on overseas trips.
PM Lee wrote: "He was a professional journalist, with a good feel for the ground and a knack for getting on with people."
"I last met Boon Lee at the Pioneer Generation Tribute event in February this year. He was in good spirits; I did not even realise that he was already ill."
But it wasn't all sad news on his Facebook page.
Mr Lee took time on Sunday to write a short note about Youth Day.
You only live once, so live it well.
To all who are young, and young at heart: have fun and enjoy Youth Day! – LHL
#YOLO
He also put up photos of himself visiting Geylang Serai over the weekend.
