An argument broke out at about 10am on April 2 at The Tate Residences on Claymore Road in Orchard, and the police were alerted shortly after.

Shin Min Daily News reported that a woman allegedly raised her voice so loudly that even residents of neighbouring condominiums could hear her.

When the reporter arrived at the scene at about 1pm, three police cars were spotted.

According to eyewitnesses, the police arrived in the morning and were seen entering the block where the shouting came from.

Ms Rita, who lives in the condominium and works as a domestic helper, told the Chinese daily that she heard noises in the morning but didn't take them seriously.

The 41-year-old shared that even though she lives in the block next to where the noise came from, she could still hear the woman's shouting.

As the woman spoke in Chinese, Ms Rita was not able to understand what was being said.

However, she told reporters that she vaguely understood it as the woman scolding her children.

She added that the scolding lasted for a long time and believed other residents were alarmed too.

The police left at about 3pm, after more than four hours.

When the reporter reached out to the condominium management, they did not want to comment on the incident.

The police confirmed that they have received a report on the incident, and investigations are ongoing.
