Police arrest 71-year-old over "Support CPF blogger" vandalism
Police arrested a 71-year-old man yesterday for vandalising advertisement boards of bus stops near Fort Canning Park.
Officers received a report of graffiti on May 23. After conducting checks, police found that 11 other bus stops and an electrical box in the area had similar graffiti.
The New Paper reported on May 24 that the phrases “We support CPF blogger” and “Return CPF money” were written in block letters with a black marker pen on the front and back of the bus service information panels.
The suspect was nabbed at North Bridge Road at about 9.15pm on Tuesday.
For the offence of vandalism, the man can be jailed for up to three years or fined up to $2,000.
