The Porsche that was involved in the fatal accident at Nicoll Highway on March 2 was caught on camera as speeding before it crashed.

In videos circulating online, the blue Porsche was seen speeding on the right side of the road, zooming past multiple vehicles.

A clip uploaded to the Facebook group My Grandfather's Road, a dashcam caught the blue Porsche flipping before eventually bursting into flames.

Multiple police and SCDF personnel were seen at the scene of the accident after the fire was put out.

In an earlier report, a driver had died in a car fire on Nicoll Highway on March 2.

The victim had been trapped inside the blazing car on Nicoll Highway towards Guillemard Road, before the KPE entrance.

A passenger from one of the vehicles struck by the Porsche described how the incident unfolded within seconds.

The 34-year-old, who wished to be known only as Mr A, had been in the backseat of a silver Grab car with a friend when the Porsche collided with it, severely damaging the boot.

"We couldn't open the back doors, so we climbed to the driver's seat just to get away. All I was thinking was to get out of the car as fast as I can as I imagined it might explode. I'm just really lucky we had only minor scratches and back pain," he said.

He credited their relatively minor injuries partly to the seatbelts they had been wearing.

Recalling the "traumatic" moments after the crash, Mr A said his Grab driver and another person ran over to check on the Porsche driver.

"He was screaming for help and knocking against his window but they couldn't help as the flames were so strong," he recounted.

In an update on X at 2.20pm, the Land Transport Authority announced that the Nicoll Highway entrance had been closed due to the accident.
