Quick-thinking pupils save man who collapses from cardiac arrest
A man collapsed from cardiac arrest and was found lying unconscious on the ground at about 1pm on Feb 12, near Block 567A, Choa Chu Kang Street 52.
Four Yew Tee Primary School pupils found him and called for an ambulance immediately.
Mr Xin, 27, told Shin Min Daily News that he was working at home when he received a notification from his myResponder app.
It alerted him to a cardiac arrest incident that had happened nearby.
He rushed out and found a person lying unconscious on the ground, with several primary school pupils standing nearby.
Mr Xin told them to wait there while he went to a nearby HDB block to find an AED.
The pupils told him they had already called SCDF, who arrived shortly and took the man away in an ambulance.
Mr Xin commended the pupils' quick thinking and action, and how they handled the situation calmly.
