Rats trailing Geylang alley cause problems for nearby restaurant owners
Owners of restaurants along Lor 9 Geylang were left helpless after rats made the nearby alley their home.
A video shared with Stomp by Mr Lee on April 2 showed several large rodents scurrying across the alley next to a frog porridge restaurant.
"They didn't seem to be so scared of me and some were covered in sores," he said.

When Shin Min Daily News went down the alley, it was reported that at least four large rats were sighted in 40 minutes.
An employee of a nearby Chinese restaurant revealed that they have faced problems with rat infestation in the area since they opened five months ago.
It was also reported that the rats would come out of their burrows at night, scaring customers away.
A female employee at a kway teow store told the Chinese daily that they felt powerless and could only do their best by ensuring the store is clean.
"In addition to not leaving food in the open and keeping the store clean, we also hired a pest control company to conduct checks regularly."
The National Environment Agency and Singapore Food Agency told Stomp that no rat activity was found in the eateries.
However, rat activity and poor housekeeping conditions were found at a nearby construction site.
The owner of the frog porridge store said that they were not affected by the rats and refused to comment further on the incident.
