Reddit has an AMA app and you won't believe it looks like that

Hugely popular social-news website Reddit has just rolled out its own app for its Ask Me Anything (AMA) interviews.

Unlike the website itself, the app is incredible stylish and colourful. (Huh, who would have guessed. Stylish and reddit in the same sentence.) Take a look.

Reddit's website.

Reddit's AMA app.

Talk about a mismatch.

Unfortunately, it's only available to Apple users at the moment. Android users will have to wait a while longer.

If you're wondering what's AMA, it's a section whereby Reddit users pose questions to famous people - astronauts, movie stars, singers, scientists and world leaders - and ask them about anything.

In an exclusive interview with Variety, Ms Ellen Pao, the senior vice-president at Reddit who oversees the company’s mobile efforts, said: "We want to make it easier for new users to join Reddit and experience all the awesome content.

"That’s part of the overall goal of becoming a more mature company."

This is not the first time Reddit has launched a mobile application. Its initial app, launched in 2011, didn't take off because of poor design and other problems.

The site had more than 133 million unique monthly users last month.
