A robber's right arm was sliced off during an attempt to rob a house in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, on Saturday (Nov 15).

The authorities discovered that the suspect and three other individuals tried to enter the house in Seremban through a window from the kitchen while the couple from Myanmar were fast asleep, reported Sinaran Harian.

"The couple woke up when the robbers broke into their room. The suspects began attacking the victim, Mohd Rofik Eran, 42, and assaulted him repeatedly," a police spokesman told the paper.

"The victim fought back and managed to grab a parang which was hidden under his wardrobe."

Mohd Rofik slashed one of the robber's right hand, severing it, as the other suspects escaped through the front door.

The robbers are believed to be also from Myanmar.
