Sad case: Baby flung out of car in accident

One moment the baby was in his grandmother's loving arms in the back seat of a car.

Then, there was a crash and the five-month old baby boy was flung out of her arms and out of the car as it overturned, police told The Star.

Muhammad Ammar Mohd Sobri died of serious head injuries at the scene of the accident in Dungun, Terengganu, on Friday. 

Dungun police chief Supt Ahmad Zailani Yaacub said the boy had been in his aunt's car when it spun out of control and overturned.

He said the aunt, Noor Aini Abu Bakar, 30, broke her left hand while the grandmother suffered facial injuries.

The boy’s mother, Nor Asikin Abu Bakar, who was also in the car, suffered minor injuries, he said.
