Serial rental scammer arrested in Eunos

Police have arrested a 36-year-old man who allegedly scammed at least six people out of their rental deposits.
The victims responded to online advertisements regarding a room rental at Block 262 Serangoon Central.
The suspect directed them to make deposits ranging from $800 to $1,900 so that they could move into the flat.
But het became uncontactable after collecting the deposits.
At least six such cases were reported this year.
Police arrested the suspect on Wednesday in Eunos.
He will be charged in court on Friday with cheating.
If found guilty, he can be jailed for up to 10 years and fined.
