Simonboy apologises to late daughter, following sentencing of abusers
Local content creator Khung Wei Nan, better known as Simonboy, took to Instagram to apologise to his late daughter Megan Khung following the sentencing of her abusers who caused her death in 2020.
Megan was four years old when her mother, Foo Li Ping, 29, and her then-boyfriend, Wong Shi Xiang, 38, abused and humiliated her for more than a year before she died.
Her body was burned, and her ashes were never recovered.
The couple were sentenced on April 3, with Foo and Wong sentenced to 19 years' jail and 30 years' jail, respectively.
Wong was also sentenced to 17 strokes of the cane.
At the time of Megan's death, Mr Khung was undergoing a three-year drug rehabilitation programme and could not be present for his daughter.
Shortly after the sentencing, Simonboy shared a photo of Megan on Instagram, apologising to her.
He elaborated in an Instagram Story that "nothing is ever good enough to give (him) closure".

He later uploaded a second Story thanking everybody who sent him their regards.

The local content creator married Megan's mother in 2015, the same year she was born.
However, the pair got a divorce more than a year later.
Since the death of her late daughter, Simonboy has made multiple posts in remembrance of her.
In a post from 2022, he shared a video of Megan with the caption: "爸爸 (Papa) promise you I'll use the remaining of my life to do good and not evil."
More recently, he shared on the fifth anniversary of Megan's passing that he is dedicated to serving the anti-drug community in Singapore to honour her.
Mr Khung is expecting his third child, a baby boy, due this April.
He recently reunited with his eldest son from his first of three marriages after 11 years, thanking his ex-wife for "giving (him) this chance of redemption".
