This year, every Singaporean and Permanent Resident (PR) household will receive an SG funpack.

The funpack will take the form of a tote bag and comes in 50 different designs created by Singaporeans from all walks of life, ranging from kids as young as five and teen students to professionals and even residents from Geylang East Home for the Aged.

A total of 1.2 million funpacks will be distributed across Singapore.

On Wednesday (June 3), Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen took to Facebook to share the exciting news.

Colonel Frederick Choo, 35, chairman of the engagement, celebrations and mobile column committee of NDP 2015, said the funpack is the centrepiece of its engagement efforts.

He said: “We wanted this NDP to be special for every Singaporean and for them to be part of the celebrations, regardless of whether they could be at the Padang or Marina Bay.”

Among the funpack designers is local DJ-actress Vernetta Lopez, 41.

Being heavily involved in the media industry, it was no surprise that Lopez’s design was a black-and-white television.

Households can expect to receive instructions on the collection of the SG funpack through mail by July.

Here's a look at all 50 funpack designs.
