Businessman wins for 10th time

The highlight of the annual Hungry Ghost celebrations at the Lorong Koo Chye Sheng Hong Temple Association on Friday night was once again the auction of the Huat Chye Lor, or prosperity urn (above). This year, the bidding closed at $230,000 and the urn went to businessman Lim Chwee Kim (not in picture), who had lost the bid last year, after winning for nine successive years before that.
