Design executive jailed three weeks for assaulting cabby
Design executive Dino Petrus Van Deijzen, 34, was jailed for three weeks on Friday (June 19) for assaulting a cabby.
The Dutchman slammed a taxi door on Mr Ee Kah Ling, 42, at an open carpark near Block 538 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5 at around 1am on Oct 21 last year.
He also punched and kicked the cabby, causing injuries that include multiple abrasions to his elbows and knees.
The court heard that Van Deijzen's girlfriend, who was with him, had vomited inside the taxi.
However, the couple left the vehicle and attempted to walk away without resolving the issue or paying the fare.
The scuffle broke out when Mr Ee was about to call the police about the pair.
