He was supposed to be here to consult a doctor for his Alzheimer’s disease, but now,  Indonesian 70-year-old Hartono Wiranto has gone missing.

His son, Wellian Wiranto, 34, has lodged a missing persons report with the Police and has appealed for help on Facebook.

The Singaporean PR, said that his father suffers from dementia and speaks only Hokkien and Mandarin.

Apparently, his father had asked to go to go to the toilet at the Little India MRT station at around 5 pm on Friday, Oct 2. Mr Wiranto says his mother noticed his disappearance when he did not reappear and tried searching with the help of passersby.

 After about half and hour of searching to no avail, she decided to call Weillian.  

The family are now searching frantically for news of their father.

According to a friend from his hometown in Bintan, Indonesia, his father was spotted at Fu Lu Shou complex, near Bugis at 9 am yesterday morning.

“My friend didn’t think of anything when he spotted my father this morning at Fu Lu Shou complex but only came to realise that we are all looking for my father when he got back to our hometown and everyone was talking about my missing father,” said the economist working here.
