Joanne Peh pens statement on birth of her baby
Joanne Peh has released a handwritten statement about the birth of their daughter.
In the note, Peh, 32, writes about her 16 hour labour without painkillers.
The actress gave birth on Friday Aug 7. Or as she puts it, her daughter "finally decided to make her grand entrance".
She says that the childbirth was too exhausting for her to immediately respond to congratulatory messages.
She adds that she is recovering well and the baby is healthy.
Her husband, Qi Yuwu, 38, was by her side throughout the birth.
She adds that holding her daughter for the first time was "comforting yet so surreal".
The note ends wishing Singapore happy birthday.
