Lower Delta Road slapping incident: Woman allegedly fed faeces and urine
The neighbour of the woman who had been filmed being slapped by her daughter has been charged with abetting to voluntarily cause hurt.
Darwinder Singh Sukhdev Singh, 39, was today charged with one count of abetting Ms Siti Nur Redha Khamis to feed her mother, Kamisah Burel, human faeces and urine.
The offence allegedly happened on July 1, 2015 at about 10.30pm at Block 48 Lower Delta Road.
Speaking in broken English, the portly man said: "I only told Ms Siti to (feed her mother faeces and urine) one time but she do it every day."
He added that Ms Siti had been out of a job for eight months and had asked him for money, telling him to pawn his jewellery and sell his mobile phone and laptop.
"She accuse (sic) me of many things but I have many things to tell about her too (sic)."
Mr Singh had earlier provided pictures of the alleged abuse to the media.
He provided the pictures after a video of Madam Kamisah being slapped - filmed by another neighbour Mr Mohammad Juani Ali - went viral online earlier this week.
Prosecutors asked for Mr Singh to be remanded at Tanglin Police Division for further investigations.
District Judge Christopher Goh agreed and Darwinder will be back in court next Friday.
No plea was taken during the session.
