Man charged with Yishun housebreaking
The man allegedly involved in the housebreaking case at Block 431B Yishun Avenue 1 on Sunday evening was charged in court on Tuesday (July 14).
Saravanan Gopal, 41, was charged with two counts of housebreaking by night and one count of drug trafficking.
He allegedly broke into a sixth storey flat belonging to Madam Suhadah Mohd Junadi, 33, by breaking open a sliding window and climbing into a bedroom at around 7.45pm that day.
About 15 minutes later, Saravanan allegedly broke into a third storey flat by climbing into an open kitchen window.
He is also accused of trafficking about 4 grams of a powdery substance, believed to be diamorphine.
Saravanan will be back in court on Aug 11.
