A Singapore Airlines (SIA) flight from Milan to Singapore was delayed more than 24 hours by technical issues.

Passengers took to social media, saying they were stuck on the Boeing 777-300ER on the ground for more than six hours without TV or air-conditioning before disembarking.

Flight SQ377 was scheduled to depart from the Italian city at 1pm on Friday. It was rescheduled to arrive here at 7.40am today, an SIA spokesman told The Straits Times.

“Hotel accommodation and meals were arranged in Milan for affected passengers,” SIA said.

It also apologised and responded to complaints on Facebook.
