Police nab housebreaker within 5 hours

A woman woke up at 9am yesterday (July 7) to find that someone had broken into her flat in Choa Chu Kang Avenue 3.
A wallet containing cash and personal documents were stolen. She made a police report that morning.
That same afternoon at about 1.30pm, police officers arrested a 20-year-old man who is believed to be involved in the break-in and theft.
He was nabbed along Bukit Batok Road.
The stolen items were also recovered. The man is believed to be involved in several other break-ins in the estate.
He will be charged tomorrow. If found guilty, he can be jailed up to 10 years and fined.
