Selfies, wefies popular among Big Walk participants

This article is more than 12 months old

Everywhere one looked, Big Walkers were busy taking selfies and wefies.

Some also went armed with selfie sticks, taking selfies and wefies in the day's heat, which was 30 deg C.

Even Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, who flagged off the event and joined the walk, took time to snap a shot or two.

The bright morning light, coming after the early drizzle, painted each of the 20 historic landmarks along the route in a natural glow.

Thousands of Big Walkers fished out their phones as soon as they saw an iconic highlight, eager to save and share their visual memories with family and friends.

Popular spots for photo-taking included the Singapore River, Asian Civilisations Museum, Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay.
