Woman dies after falling inside SBS bus
The woman who was declared brain dead after falling inside a bus died on Thursday (Sept 3).
Madam Tan Ah Tit, 66, a coffee shop assistant, was on her way home on SBS Transit service 109 on Saturday when it suddenly braked along Sengkang East Road at about 4pm.
The bus driver was trying to avoid colliding with a car.
Madam Tan lost her balance, hit her head and fell unconscious.
She was rushed to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, where she underwent surgery, but was later pronounced brain dead.
A police spokesman told The New Paper on Thursday she died today.
