After four nights in the lock-up, Amos Yee Pang Sang, 16, is now out on $20,000 bail.
The teenage blogger left the State Courts at 7pm with his parents.
His bailor is youth and family counsellor Vincent Law, 51 who is not related to him.
Mr Law said that as a parent, he felt for Yee's family.
Yee is now represented by a team of lawyers - Mr Alfred Dodwell, Mr Chong Jia Hao and Mr Ervin Tan.
They are representing him pro bono.
Mr Dodwell told reporters he got in touch with Amos' parents two days ago.
On March 31, Amos was charged in court with one count each of transmitting an obscene picture electronically, and uploading content online which attacked Christianity.
He was also charged under the Protection from Harassment Act, accusing him of posting an insulting video clip online containing remarks about former Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew.
