E-scooter rider taken to hospital after accident involving lorry
A 27-year-old man was injured in an accident involving an electric scooter.
The accident occurred on Saturday, and police told The New Paper that it involved a lorry and an e-scooter colliding at the junction of Marsiling Lane and Marsiling Crescent.
The police spokesman said they were alerted to the accident at around 11pm.
The rider of the e-scooter was taken conscious to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, said the Singapore Civil Defence Force.
TNP understands that at the time of the accident, he smelled of alcohol.
E-scooters are allowed only on footpaths and shared paths and not on roads or pedestrian-only paths.
TNP understands no arrest has been made and police investigations are ongoing.
