Police have arrested a 49-year-old man who allegedly slapped teen blogger Amos Yee outside State Courts on Thursday (April 30).

A police spokesman told The New Paper he was arrested on Friday morning (May 1).

The man allegedly slapped Yee on the left cheek before yelling: "Sue me. Come and sue me."

He then fled.

The 16-year-old, who appeared shocked, held his face and continued walking into the State Court building.

He was later sent back to jail after his bailor applied to discharge himself following a breach of bail conditions by the teenager.

Although his bail conditions prohibited him from uploading or distributing content online before his case was concluded, Yee put up two blog posts on Wednesday (April 29).

He is currently in remand.
