Man stole from prostitutes
A freelance painter was sentenced to five years' corrective training for stealing from four prostitutes and for criminal breach of trust on Thursday (May 14).
Tan Chin Heng, 46, would drive up to the women and offer them money for sexual services.
He would drive them to a secluded spot and told them to leave their handbags on the front seat.
He would them ask them to move to the back seat, where he would haggle over the price before calling it off.
But as soon as the women got out of the car, he would lock the doors, and drive off with their belongings.
Tan was eventually caught after he had rented a car but did not pay for it or return it in February this year.
