One dead, one injured in accident
One man died and another was injured in a three-vehicle accident on Changi Coast Road yesterday at about 5.30pm.
The accident involved a tipper truck, a container truck and a car.
The container truck driver, a 45-year-old man, was pinned under the tipper truck and was extricated by Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) officers using a hydraulic cutter. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
The 36-year-old tipper truck driver was taken conscious to Changi General Hospital.
The New Paper understands there was no one inside the car at the time of the accident.
